VisionCare NSW (VCNSW) has been informed by the Department of Family & Community Services (FACS), that effective immediately the Program administered by VCNSW can only be funded within the defined FACS budget and that no supplementary funding is available.  

Accordingly the Program will cease to supply benefits from 29 February – 30 June 2012.   

This will mean that from 10 February 2012, no further Program applications under the current Program can be accepted.  All applications made prior to 10 February 2012 must be received by VCNSW by 15 February 2012.  Any applications received by VCNSW after that date will be returned to Program Providers to inform their patients and retain the applications.

The NSW Government will continue to fund the Program, from 01 July 2012.
